The rampside fireplace

After discovering the fragments of this historic fireplace burried in the cellars of Rampside Hall in Cumbria the owners decided to investigate the stones to see if they fitted together and what they may be. When assembled they formed one third of a surround dating from about 1680. I was commissioned to resore the fragments and carve the rest of the piece. I researched the style and date of the stonework and designed and installed the missing elements in what is believed to be the orignal room that housed the original piece.
