Crowd of Witnesses

This curved sandstone wall is inscribed with a passage from the bible and forms part of a spiritual trail in the churchyard of St James’ in Didsbury, South Manchester. ┬áThe relief carving seeks to allude to the ‘crowd of witnesses’. ┬áThe figures on the rear are carved into the stone whilst those on the front appear to be emerging.
