Sir Harold Hillier

This portrait sits in the Hillier Arboretum in Hampshire.  Sir Harold followed in the footsteps of the great Victorian botanists in travelling and discovering new species of plant and bringing home specimens for his collection.  My aim was to convey his passion for the plants he collected.
