Caryatid fireplace

In the Greeko-Roman tradition of sculpture carved columns in the form of standing figures are called “caryatid’ for female forms and ‘ Atlante’ for male ones.  This carved fireplace has one of each on either side supporting the mantle.  I was given free-reign to design them having studies many classical examples.
